The Bethlehem Music Settlement presents student recitals as an on-going part of the educational process and encourages each student to perform at his or her own level at least twice per year.  The BMS holds public student recitals in the fall, winter, spring, and summer terms with additional BMS Performance Festivals offered throughout the year.  In addition students participate in the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association performance activities which include:  The Annual Hanna Young Play-a-Thon, the Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival, and the Annual Awards Adjudication Festival.   

The programs are ocassionally organize by age, gender, ability.  The recital space provides a safe, secure, and comforting environment for the experimentation, discovery, and realization of ones performance skill.  With the correct guidance, students are often able to work through some of their most difficult personal fears of public performance.

A recital program is printed and distributed at each performance.  The student's full name is included as well as the title of the piece or pieces performed, and the composer(s).  For a complete scheduleof our programs please link to NEWS YOU CAN USE.

It is requested that there be no flash photography during the recitals; and please turn off all cell phones, pagers, and alarm watches before the beginning of each program.
